Summary:

I recommend Arvixe for anyone needing a good shared or VPS host. With features including one-click install, a 60-day money-back guarantee, a free domain for life, and 24/7 US based phone support, Arvixe is a great choice.

Hosting companies routinely email Art of Blog asking us to review them. Because we’ve made a commitment to only recommend the best to our readers, we usually end up turning down most hosting companies.

But, after looking into Arvixe, I was pretty impressed. On the surface, Arvixe is just like other hosting providers out there. But once I dug below the surface, I was surprised to find out that Arvixe also had 24/7 US based phone support and tons of one-click installs. All of this at a great price.

24/7 Customer Support

Arvixe advertises that they have 24/7  U.S. based phone support on their website. When I first read that, I thought it was just another bold marketing claim. So, I put them to the test. I called Arvixe on three separate occasions to make sure that their phone support was legit.

I called on a Wednesday night at 7:12 pm and talked to a guy named Robert. I talked to Chris at 11:49 Thursday night. And I talked to Jeff at 11:06 on a Saturday morning.

No, I didn’t test Arvixe customer support at 2 am, but answering your phone for customer support at 11:49 at night is a win in my book!

Look, building and managing a website isn’t easy. Even after you get things running, you still have to worry about traffic spikes, hardware failures, viruses, and tons of other things. But, those are all external factors. If you’re anything like me, you’re probably going to break your website once or twice yourself. This is exactly where good customer support comes in. Arvixe brings the goods when it comes to customer support.

Tons of One-Click Installs

Unless you’re a developer that loves to install things on your own, you will definitely love the one-click installs that Arvixe provides through softaculous, which appears to me to be the most comprehensive one-click installer that I have used.

Softaculous includes scripts for everything from blogging to ad management. There are also DB tools and framework installers for the developers at heart.

Other Great Features

If you are just starting out your blog, you’ll be glad to know that Arvixe has amazing prices. Arvixe’s personal class starts out at just $4 per month, when you pay for two years in advance. But, Arvixe’s personal class is still only $7 per month if you pay monthly. That still puts it below what I used to pay at Dreamhost on a monthly basis…

Arvixe also throws in a domain name free for life with their hosting plans. This may not sound like a huge deal, and admittedly it is not. But imagine the convenience of not having to worry about your domain name anymore. This feature is actually a large reason why I went with Dreamhost in the past. I needed something easy and convenient for a development server.

One of the coolest features of Arvixe is that they guarantee their 99.9% uptime. Their website states, “[if] we do not live up to our 99.9% uptime guarantee, you qualify to receive a refund on that month’s hosting fees.” When you make a living from your blog, having a web host that is committed to the success of your website is essential. Arvixe putting their money where their mouth is, so to speak, is great reassurance.

Bottom Line

Arvixe is a solid host that has received many awards for their great customer support and uptime. But, none of that makes a difference to you.

I recommend you try Arvixe’s 60-Day Money Back Guarantee yourself to see just how much you’ll like them. Don’t want to deal with moving your website? Arvixe will even handle all of that for free!

If you’re looking for a great shared or VPS host, I highly recommend you give Arvixe a try.

Great, I was looking to get a new host for some of my sites. I’m already with Hostgator but I want a separate hosting account for 5-6 websites that grew and needs more space.
I’ll give these guys a go.

I’ll surely do if I decide to go with them. I’ve also seen Dreamhost have got some sales these days and I still don’t know which one to go with…
If I’ll buy I’ll do via your affiliate link so you get some reward for this article ;)
