Although my site wasn’t based directly off the Convergence Theme, it took me a few days of solid Photoshop/coding to bang out the skin for Matthodder.com. I did Matthodder.com from scratch, but if it was a conversion I would just use the Theme or PSD/Image as a base.

If I was provided with a Theme or PSD to be converted, it would probably run about $500-$1000 (CAD) depending on the complexity (feature-wise and design-wise). Other Thesis designers also do PSD to Thesis for around the same price.

I borrowed some of Matt's custom code (with his permission) from one of his sites and then custom coded a lot of the parts myself. Matt has released some nice Thesis skins at Thesis themes. You can email and ask him what he charges to convert a theme. Maybe he can even comment here and let other people know? Also, another good designer who does Thesis conversion is Alex Fraiser. Seems like there should be a PSD to Thesis service just like they have PSD to Wordpress services.

How much work was it to code the Convergence theme to Thesis?
What was involved?
How much did it cost to get Matt to do it?
Sometimes I see themes that I like but would love to have it on Thesis. Would be a good gauge to see how you converted this one to Thesis and the costs involved.
