The outstanding framework we know as Thesis has improved upon wordpress in a variety of ways, but the [ gallery ] functionality still needs improvement.
About Thesis Photoblog
This plug-in adds better support for the [ gallery ] short code and attachments by adding image.php and attachment.php like functionality to Thesis.
In plain English this plug-in makes photoblogging with Thesis a breeze. It offers previous and next navigation between attached photos. Adds a link back to the main gallery page and removes the inline CSS that is generated by Wordpress.
No longer will you have to worry about confusing hooks and custom_functions.php, this plugin does it all for you. Simply download, install, and activate. You are now ready to start photoblogging using the built in Wordpress Media Manager.
Once installed Simply upload photos to Wordpress and use the [ gallery ] short code to display the photos you have uploaded to that specific post. Thesis and Wordpress will do the rest.

FAQ:
Q: How do I resize the image?
A: Change the settings in the wordpress admin panel. Settings -> Media -> Large Image size. I recommend 10-20px narrower than your content column.

I’m somewhat new to WP & Thesis. Can you be a little more specific when you say “use the [ gallery ] short code”? I’ve installed the plugin & made it active but not sure what to do next in order to make it work. Thanks.
Kevin, Simply install and upload photos when writing a post. Once you have those photos uploaded use [gallery] to insert it into the post.
I have the photos associated with the post but all its doing is showing the photos one right after the other and showing the word “Gallery” where I have placed the [gallery] tag. Any ideas? The plugin is active, and using WordPress 2.8.6.
Nick – This is probably a WordPress question rather than a Thesis question, but I’m hoping the answer is simple, or made simple by Thesis and/or your plugin.
Can the photoblog plugin only affect certain pages? I want to have a photo page or two but most of the rest of the blog will more typical.
Thanks!
